Which Level Are You?

I saw the above tweet yesterday and wanted to write a short discussion about it. "Someone Else" in our Telegram channel made a good point that the levels are out of order. I agree that @Bitcoin_for_Freedom should have put level 1 as level 3. I also thought there is something missing from the end. So, here is an expanded version:

Level 0: What is BitCoin?
Level 1: Lol, BTC is gambling
Level 2: Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency
Level 3: So many applications, blockchain all the things, evangelism
Level 4: I hold BTC, ETH, XRP, etc.
Level 5: What is money?
Level 6: I only hold BTC
Level 7: Bitcoin fixes the world, central banks are evil, evangelism
Level 8: Someone should do something about the scams
Level 9: Incentives are everything
Level 10: We are in repeating generational cycles
Level 11: Bitcoin is not good or evil, it is a tool
Level 12: Natural market evolution creates the incentives that make bitcoin inevitable

Something like that. I tried to make the point that Bitcoin fixing the world is just a stage in the overall grand Bitcoin journey. Most bitcoiners seem to get stuck there—don't be one of them. The last several phases are realizing that you are not ultimately in charge and what will be will be.

You must take advantageous actions for yourself and your family in accordance with what is, not what will be fixed or what will break. Eliminate every possible future that relies on acting against incentives, and you are left with one general direction for history to follow, containing several large themes which you can navigate.

We are all incentive-following machines, with a standard distribution of the ability to see more complicated and long-term incentives. Some people only see their day-to-day incentives. Others understand that if you sacrifice today, better things can come in the future. Still, others can see the waves of culture and society and position themselves and their families to ride those waves.

The journey through Bitcoin's levels of understanding is ongoing and complex, with each stage offering deeper insights into both Bitcoin and the broader societal forces at play.
